For today, we are going to need a special word as we are going to cover, "How do you say something in Hindi?" So let's get started right away. |
India is famous for coconut oil. So let's assume that you want to buy some but have no idea what to call it in Hindi. What do you do now? Of course, you ask with Survival Phrases. |
"How do you say 'coconut oil' in Hindi?" is coconut oil ko hinDii mein kaise bolTe hain? |

Your are indeed correct to some extent. Coconut oil is more commonly used in South India than in North India. But now the oil is slowly being adopted by North Indians as well in some dishes. But yes, it is still uncommon.

I think you guys are wrong. Coconut oil is exclusively used in south India. Mostly the state of Kerala. North Indians rarely use coconut oil in cooking.
