Learn to say your allergies in Hindi
In this lesson, we'll cover a phrase that will be essential for those of you who are allergic to something. Letting other people know about your allergy is vital to a fun and healthy trip. In today's phrase, we'll go over "I'm allergic to something."
To start, we'll need something that we are allergic to. In some cases, allergies to peanut can be extremely dangerous. So, let's start from there.
In Hindi, "I am allergic to peanuts" is mujhe mungfali se elarjii hai.

Let’s break it down by syllable: mujhe mungfali se elarjii hai.
Now, let's hear it once again: mujhe mungfali se elarjii hai.
The first word, mujhe, means, "I have."
Let's break this word and hear it once again: mujhe.

Next is mungfali, meaning "peanuts."
Let's break down this word and hear it once again: mungfali.

Next is se, which means "from." And then, we have elarjii, which in English is "allergy." And then, we have hai, which means "is".
All together, we have mujhe mungfali se elarjii hai, which means, "I am allergic to the peanuts."
Now, let's go over some other common allergies. Let's try shrimp. The Hindi word for shrimp is (झींगा) jhinga.

Notice that the only thing that changes here is jhinga in place of mungfali, while the rest is the same.

In case you have to go to the doctor or to the hospital during your trip to India, you might be asked about your conditions. If you have allergies, make sure to get the right treatment.
In Hindi, "Do you have any allergies?" is kya apako koi elarjii hai?

Let's break it down by syllable: kya apako koi elarjii hai?
Now, let's hear it again: kya apako koi elarjii hai?
The first word kya is interrogative, and kya apako means "Do you have?"
Next is koi, which in English is "any."
